It is in the news.  The riots that are occurring in Iran due to the election of their leader.  The people of Iran know that the man that won, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad cheated or did something to change the election so he could win.  The people of Iran know this and are now rioting in the streets.  SO many of these citizens are going out so far that they know they will get arrested but many are being killed due to voicing their out rage of the election.  Iran citizens are being killed, however we probably will never know how many have been killed.  What is going to happen?  We may not know all the details since Iran will decide what the rest of world sees and knows.  The thing about this whole conflict that is happening in Iran will be a reflection of what may happen in our own country.  How far will America let Obama go until we say we have had enough of Obama’s socialist agenda? But what I have seen and hear is that Obama may not allow or may stop any resistance to his agenda. Obama and the Democrats know that they are pushing so hard so fast that it is going to cause a recoil.  And they know there will be protests and whether local law enforcement know it or not they are being prepared to cut down any resistance to Obama’s socialist plans. I have seen local law enforcement with a military troop transport and a military armed vehicle. I saw these at a local city event, so it was not just a vehicle on loan from the military. It had the city’s name on it as though the vehicles were now part of all the other vehicles needed by the city.  My husband and I found this very odd since what does a city of less than 80,000 people need with such a tactical, military vehicle?  The only thing that came to our minds was that the time may be coming, and soon, that citizens of our city, state, country, will not take it anymore, and the only way to deal with the up rising.  I think Obama wants socialism in this country and if Americans give him resistance he has no problem stopping them at any cost. The cost of what?  All the democrats, and some rhinos, those Republicans who have a R next to their name but are not real conservatives, and then most of the media, CBS, ABC, NBC, CNN, MSNBC and many other media outlets that could never show Obama as anything other than a fine leader and a great president will continue to agree with Obama. So it will take us regular Americans, to do something about it and the government is afraid that someday, and I hope soon, Americans will say NO MORE!!  So what will the government do about this?  Like I said, they have already started to prepare local law enforcement agengies to deal with it. Once it starts at the local level, the feds are hoping to  stop it there so then the state or feds will not have to deal with it.  I see a day where this will happen. It started with the Tea Parties on April 15th.  Although there were many people all over  America that participated in this and it was a peaceful out cry, it may, if Obama keeps up this agenda, turn to more of a riot or protest similar to what  is happening in Iran.  Time will only tell if my predictions are correct. Honestly I hope I am wrong but I can only call them as I see them and what I see is a force that will not go away and it will not get any better. I have been hoping that the agenda Obama is pushing will fall apart and more people will see what is going on and change and I do not mean the change Obama is talking about. I mean the change back to our country to what it should be, less government, less taxes and basically more of a Reagan conservative America. Yet again I can only hope.

   We can only pray now.  The race is tight.  The polls are so close.  The country is so divided.  So with my last post until election day I thought I would put up my reasons why I think Obama would be a horrible president for our country.

1.  I don’t like who Obama has had associated with in his life.  The Wright man with whom Obama went to his church for over 20 years but yet did not know well. How can someone really say that the whole time Obama was sitting in one of Wright’s pews that Obama did not hear any of the awful things Wright said about our country.  The people I know and trust would get up and walk out.  Sort of like what my husband and I did when we went to see the movie Pulp Fiction.  We did not like the show so we left.  But then later on we did not return again and again.  I truly think that the reason Obama did not get up and leave was because he believed in many of the things he said.  Obama probably said many Halleluiah in the 20 years he attended Wright’s church.  He it as it may I still think that Obama did a lot for this man and Obama truly believed just about everything he was preaching otherwise why sit in a service that is so racist and hateful.  Honestly I thought that when one goes to church is to do the Lord’s work and praise God for all our blessings we have, not to say the hateful and totally ugly things that Wright said in his sermons for many, many years.

2. I want to know more about Obama’s association he had with a known terrorist, William Aires, I hope I spelled that correctly sorry I am not a English professor, but I do my best.  I know, as Obama keeps saying, that Obama was only 8 years old when Aires did those horrible bombings in our own country.  Why is this so hard for so many not to understand and why Sean Hannity spends so much time on this issue.  It was not those few acts, it was the notion that Aires felt no remorse about them. Then as we find more about Obama’s friendship he had with him over the last 10 years or so.  Aires helped Obama start his political career.  Aires and Obama was on a board and that association received millions of tax dollars to give for education purposes.  The two of them decided how to use the money.  Then here comes ACORN too.  Obama helped that distrustful organization to help spread the word of liberalism but now I think it was more a socialistic road.  Aires has some totally unbelievable thoughts, and feelings when it comes to America and with Obama and him working so closely together don’t you think some of those views were talked about and discussed when they were together.  It is too odd that in one of Aires’s books or writings an up in coming politician gave his comments to that book, yes you have guessed it, Obama.  Now I have also found out that Aires may have written Obama’s book Dreams From My Father, when compared to some of Obama’s other writings it did not match to the same writer. So this man, I am so sorry I can not give this man the full credit with his name but I do know he has been researching this for many months.  But it is so clear that Aires wrote this book and not Obama.  One reason he also gave was that usually when someone can write as well as this book was written that there is a paper trail.  It can start as early as elementary school.  It takes more practice but it develops in time.  Obama does not write well, as we have seen when he talks with out a prompter. The ums and hhas or whatever he says when he does not have a script in front of him,  although it was more difficult for him to do this at the Black Tie dinner that Obama and McCain gave speeches and they used humor, although I should say that Obama tried humor, I do not think that man has even a 1/2 in funny bone not even a tiny splinter of one.  So his comedy writer failed him so sad.  Now I know that just because someone wrote a book for Obama does not give good reason to not vote for him but it was who the book was written by, again the name William Aires, just a person he sat on a board with, my ass!

3. The Obama people need to communicate with each other.  The first time I heard it from Obama it was $250,000 then Biden said $150,000 then Richardson, the governor from Arizona said $120,000 those making under those amounts.  But wait what is it really going to be,  who is getting the tax cuts or the help.  They really can not seem to get their numbers straight. Do they say the amounts only for the people who are listening at the time?  WHO knows but get it straight and then when you guys know for sure please let us other people know that if you actually win who will get what or who will get it in the end.

4.  I think that this may be one of the main reasons I don’t want Obama to be president, as you can see I am not putting these in any order, Obama is so arrogant and egotistical.  There is a line when someone has confidence and then there is Obama.  I truly can not stand anyone who thinks that they are so much better than I am or anyone else for that matter.  And this was truly shown when Joe the plumber asked his question to Obama and then days later Obama was mocking him, a true American, a man that only asked a simple question and then the candidate for president has to put him down, What a A** H***.   Then there is Mr. GAF when he said I don’t know any plumber in my neighborhood making $250k.  WOW who they think they are.  Then those others who did back ground checks to find anything bad about this man.  Unbelievable why does an average citizen have to go through such horrible ridicule.  He only asked Obama what exactly he was going to do about taxes or you guys know the story,  that was the nail in the coffin.  If only saying you wanted to kill someone was not such a bad thing to say but wait I can say this, I would not be too sad if someone did something to this man but then again I think death would be too nice. You just do not know how mad that truly makes me. but I would never do anything to anyone because that is totally wrong but so was what the Obama’s  people did. I am a school teacher so if I asked such a questions would I be put through such a vise?  Oh but wait, I have already gone through a background check when I became a teacher so they would not find anything juicy to make fun of me. Plus I am a teacher for McCain some may find that quite odd.

5.  I do not want to live in a socialist country.  I do not want someone to take care of me. It is my job to take care of myself and my kids. I know some people think how great it would be so actually live in a socialist country. Well all I can say to them is to do some research on those countries who have a social government.  I bet that some of them may think twice but then again it would be the lazy ones who want it because they truly think it would be awesome for them to be taken care of, no work all play,  I hate to sound racist and I am not but I have heard call after call on radio talk that many African America’s fall into this type of mentality.  However let me make it clear, there are many more Americans who fall into this mix.  I truly think that there are many Americans who are down right lazy and they would love the government to take care of them.  But those of you who really think like that go do homework and see what a country is really like under such government control.  I do not want someone else’s money.  Those people making over $250k or $150k or whatever the cap is since the Obama campaign don’t know what it is either, I want to earn my own money and take care of my things.  What really makes me angry is that 4 years ago my husband and I lost of house.  We got into a deal that we really shouldn’t have done and found ourselves swimming in debt.  We were paying 12%, yes this was 4 years ago, and we could not get refinanced no matter how hard we tried.  We could not make it so we lost our home.  I loved that house so much. It was so awesome, in a great neighborhood with a great school and totally awesome neighbors. However we made the choice to let it go, no one came to our rescue, no one got us out of our debt.  We signed the papers, which we didn’t have to do.  Bottom line is that people make choices everyday and make big mistakes like we did however those mistakes are our own, not our government or our president’s.  We as Americans take charge of our own lives good or bad.  Although that was 4 years ago, we are still trying to get out of hot water.  I teach school full time and my husband stays home with our now 4 year old.  We made this choice to rent until we can get our credit scores higher and we are also renting to own the house we are in now. We love the house, however the neighborhood is not the best, or should I say the best neighbors. No one came said welcome or anything.  The next door neighbors has a daughter a year older than ours so that is how we know them.  Not even the church members came to our home. Which is odd if you know how Mormons are in Utah. However that is a different topic. My husband figured that if Obama wins we probably will not get the house we are in now and may not be able to buy our own home for some time.  So another reason why I do not want Obama as my president.

5. Now there is the issue of Obama’s birth certificate, my hubby and I looked at the one on Obama’s page and compared it to mine, born in the 60’s too and another one, and noticed that they are not even close to being the same.  We saw that on the 60’s it lists ethnic as either, white or black and Obama’s says African.  Seem strange, it gets better.  If you look at his birth certificate on his site it looks very modern, done in modern paper and text.  You can clearly see that the one on his site it not the original from when he was born. Yes we know he was adopted  and another certificate was issued, Well we compared this to my husband’s which he too was adopted and it still looked like the one from the 60’s. Then when Obama went to Hawaii to visit is grandma he just so happened to go the hall of records to seal all his birth records.  Doesn’t that sound odd?  Why seal those if you don’t have anything to hide.  What am I getting at?  I do not think Obama was born on US soil as one needs to be to become president.  I don’t know why no one has been pursuing this issue.  I do no think Obama was born in Hawaii. I think he was born in Kenya where his grandmother was from.  I hope someone out there will look further into this whole thing, but again I say why seal those now?

6. If you do not agree with him he will kick you off his bus.  There were some reporters who were following along with Obama on the campaign trail when it got back to him that the papers they worked for were going to support McCain.  SO that did not mean the individual reporters supported, it was the newspaper they worked for. SO Obama said, so long off my bus.  Maybe this should go under the arrogance number.  It does relate to that.  Here I say again, what a A** H***!

&. Recently it has been brought to our attention that the Obama campaign has been putting supporters or perhaps they have been paid to do this, but go onto different blog sites and claim they are Republicans but say they are now going to vote for Obama.  I have seen this myself.  Back in July of this year I was heartbroken that my fav show, Moonlight had been cancelled. SO some of those supporters were going to a site Hey Nielsen and write comments and posts in support of Moonlight so then CBS could see how the fans wanted our show back.  Well I like talking about politics so I went over to those posts.  The first time I posted something I was personally attacked by one such individual who claimed to be a Republican who was now supporting Obama.  She attacked me on my spelling, how odd I thought, then she said she felt sorry for my students.  WOW I learned something the hard way,  to never put too much personal stuff on any sites because those who do not agree with you will attack your character.  This went on and one all summer. We truly had different opinions however every time I said something bad about Obama I had to back it up with facts when this site was clearly for opinions.  Well I told this woman that if she had b been a true Republican then she wouldn’t even think about voting for Obama.  Obama is the most liberal senator in the Senate and he will continue this if he gets into the white house.  Well bottom line we were both kicked off this site because we could not play nice, but honestly I wanted her to get kicked off and if I went too, then I know I did my job. I just went on there under a different name and I am sure she did too.  But to end it is now been proven that there are many like this same woman. Obama people going into blogs to tell lies and try to sway votes. I am proud to say I saw this long before it broke just recently.

9. Why did Obama go overseas spending millions of dollars to campaign to them when he was actually running for president here?  And there is talk about the money that was spent on Sarah Palin and her  family’s wardrobe?  Obama spent 20 times the money he did on such a show case and then comes back here for the convention where he spent millions of dollars on his stage show?  He acted like he had already been voted in as president.  Again the arrogance of this man is unbelievable.  I truly wish I could sit down with him and tell him what middle class people really think and what we truly want from our government and our president.

Now don’t get me wrong I long for the day when American votes in our first African American or first woman president.  But Obama is not the guy for the job.  I think Allen Keys would have been a great president or how about Condoleezza  Rice, we can have both with her the first black woman as president.  She would do an awesome job.  But with that said the fact are also that we need to get more Republicans in the Senate and Congress.  There are too many Democrats and liberals in those house right now.  Now I know that the approval rating is very low in both places so the Republicans can not get a pass either.  I want those men and women to do the job there were voted in to do.  The people are what matters not who is president, the president should do what we want not what he want  to do.  Obama does not listen to us middle Americans. That is clear with Joe the Plumber situation.  

Bottom line is if Obama becomes our president we are in for a world of hurt.  He will raise taxes on either the people who make above $250k or lets just say $140k and then those Americans who don’t pay taxes will get money from the government, or welfare.  Then those people who are above those figures will pay more taxes so those business will have to either raise prices on their products or lay off employees.  The unemployment rate will go higher and more people will want help from the government since the government is the entity that caused the problems in the first place.  The America that I was born to and that so many soldiers, my father included WWII and the Korean war, have fought to protect her freedoms will no longer exist.  Then the fairness act, I think that is what it is called in talk radio, will change the way we Americans will get our information  or should I say the way we get our information correctly, no lies or biases when it comes to many talk radio shows. But because of some liberals do not think it is fair that the conservative talk radio shows do better than the liberals shows we should change the laws to suit those liberals.  Then the last one I will mention is the right to bear arms our 2^nd amendment to our beloved Constitution, will be revised or perhaps doctored to suit those lefties.  One more last, is that the talk, I have heard is that Obama wants to change our Constitution or maybe not change but rewrite or modify to suit his agenda.  Obama you must leave the American Constitution alone. Our fore fathers wrote this document to preserve what they felt was the American they wanted.  If we change or modify it in anyway will change what us Americans have been living under all the 187 years she has been in place.  It may not relate closely to our future as they say it, however the principles are still there and we must preserve our heritage or wait if you want to change the Constitutions don’t  stop there.  Why not change the Declaration of Independence and all the other bills that were turned into law.  Again I say and perhaps I can say this for many other Americans, that if you touch our history you will be in for a fight against the true Americans that are living within her borders now.  We must preserve what is fundamentally ours and was set forth for us to follow. Our ancestors or at least mine, wanted us to free until the end of time, and only God knows how much time that will be.  I truly hope that you and your liberal, Cool Aide drinkers will leave our documents alone and preserve what our fore fathers or at least my fore fathers fought so hard to give us Americans, and that is freedom, NOT SOCIALIST,  I like my money and I know those who make more than I do like their money as well. It is not selfishness to want to keep my own money or when someone else wants to keep their own money. WE have earned every penny we make.  Hey why don’t you stop spending million and millions of dollars on TV ads and give some of the money to those in middle class.  Actually how much of your millions have you given to those who don’t have as much as you.  Aren’t you a bit selfish to keep that, why don’t you share the wealth.  Let me know and I will gladly give you my address and you can start passing that money to some families I work with on a daily bases. I teach at a school where some students do not have shoes to wear or a coat for the cold winter.  Those of you who are reading my thoughts I hope you sincerely look at all the issues I have said, although there are many more reasons but my list is too long now, and decide do you really want a man like this in OUR WHITE HOUSE?  If so then vote for Obama, if not vote for McCain. McCain and Palin is our only hope to keep American true to her founders and to help us with out turning to socialism!!

Now who in their right mind would think that creating a law about educating children, should make it that it is the job of the teacher to maker sure all thier students are on grade level before progressing to the next grade? Yes it was a liberal or democrat or whatever you want to call him. He has been in the senate way too long. I am talking about Ted Kennedy. Teddy’s NO Child Left Behind has caused many a pains in teachers’ behinds. Yes and I know that Bush signed it into law but get real how is this law really going to take into account all those students who, by no fault of thier own, will never make it to grade level.  Next what happened to making the parents accountable for their child’s education?  Since I am a teacher this law has greatly affected me. My school, a Ttile One school, has not passed AYP, which means Adequate Yearly Progress and since this is the second year in a row my shcool has not passed we are now on probation.  This means that there will be people coming into the school who do not work for the district or the state, they work to help us, the school, bring up our scores so that this year and the next year we will meet those qualifications.  It was so close for our school to pass, in Language Arts that it was only 2 students out of 700 who did not meet the standard.  Doesn’t that sound sort of odd that since only 2 students that didn’t make it they can change so much for a whole school.  Then on top of the whole probation period and the extra stuff teachers will have to edure, they, which I guess they can be the state office or the feds, give the option to parents that if they want to take their child out of my school, since it did not pass AYP, the parents have the choice to put their child into a school that has passed AYP.  ANd the district will pay for busing those students to those schools.  These schools are not close to our school. It would be about 10 miles or more each way for transportation. So that can get costly. I just think it is interesting that so many politics decide what is good for eduction but yet they have never been in a classroom to understand what we as teachers go through on a daily bases.  Let me tell you what a day is like for me teaching 3rd grade at a Title One school. First a Title one school is a school whose demographics are make up of many different cultures, many different languages, many different social make ups, but poverty level incomes.  There are many apartments in the boundries of the school so many students move in and out throughout the year.  It is only the 6th week of school and I have had already had 2 students move out and 3 new students.  It is like that all year.  But mainly our school can be catagorized as a schools whose students have very unique home lives.  Many students are living with one parent and that one parent may work 2-3 jobs to give thier kids food, or live with grandparents or an aunt or uncle since mom or day are dead or can not care for the children.  Many of the kids are living in filth, not knowing what it is like to have a new set of clothes or shoes.  So with that then our school because of the Title One receives some extra money to help with such things as offering breakfast for students, or families, for free, and most students get breakfast and lunch for free.  The also may receive help with shoes or clothes.  There is some great things that happen at  Ttitle one schools.

With that my job means  I have to teach Math, Language Arts ( Reading, grammar, writing, phonice etc), Math, PE, Music, Science, Social Studies, computers, Library info, and for 3rd I also teach cursive writing.  Now maybe Teddy can teach all that in a day or maybe a week but for me and I know for many teachers it is a struggle to get it all in.  ANd since elementary teachers are only tested on Language Arts and Math, but 4-6 get tested science, we only teach those things.  It takes most of our time just to get that it, let alone any time for PE Or Music or fun stuff.  Yes we want to our students to be on grade level by the time they go into the next year, however so many of our population get tested, constatly that they begin to shut down.  SO much is put upon our students because of our Title one but now on top of that we have this whole No Child Left Behind.

Ok now I will tell you what a day is like or better what is expected of me in my classroom

First bell rings, I pick up my students and bring them into my classroom. They hang up back packs, give me any notes from home. lunch money goes down to the office by the students.  I have on each students desk a DOL, daily oral langauge which consistes of some but not all of the following, correct sentenes( capitalize letters, periods at the end, spelling corrections etc.) there may be some  synonyms(words which have similar meanings ie big, huge) antonyms-opposites ie small-big, any other grammar type questions. While the students work I take roll, handle any problems which may arise, such this year, I have a student who skipped Kindergarten so he should really be in 2nd grade, but he is not cutting it here. A private school decided that he should skip because he was so smart, wrong, why did he skip what test or assessement was he given, none, or should I say the school could not send me such a form or test.  Then on top I am not getting any support from my principal.  SHe is too busy with everything else in the school for her to meet with me and mom to move this child back to 2nd grade. I can’t move him it must come from the principal.  SO with him constantly on my nerves, I then have 3 students who barely speack English so I must give them directions very slowly or with the help of other students who can translate for me.  By the time everyone is done and I have tried to help all my students we correct the DOL.

I try to begin the story in our Reading program that our district forced us to change this year and which is too hard for our population.  It is new so as we do each story we learn more and more about the program.  It takes at least 3 full years of one program to know if it is truly working. Plus on top of that we also got a new Math program and again we are trying to teach a program that we only had 4 hours of training on it, but hey we had a whole day of trainging on the reading progam.

During this time I have had several staff members come in and ask me about a student or two, absent, lunch money.

During my reading I must deal with disruptive students who can not sit still.  They like to play with pencils, so I take things away from them as they seem to start using them as toys.  Then I have students who do not know how to look me in the eye so I know they are listening.  I hope to get through some of the story.

Math, I give a lesson with the whole class, we use manipulatives but then again they start to turn into toys, so sometimes I do not use them for that reason.  I have 26 students in my class, about 10 students who understand what I just taught and the rest I must teach in a smaller groups or one on one.  I also have an aide who helps my really low kids, 4 of them and work one on one.

I assign homework and will only get it back from half of my class. Most kids do not have support from home thus no help with homework.

Lumch for the kids is 30 minutes and this is also my time too.  What do I do for lunch?  I sit in my classroom and get ready for what is after lunch, more reading or correct papers, or enter grades in computer or clean my classroom.  I do not have time to eat! 

After lunch I like to read to my students, I also teach them cursive and all my students have always loved it.

So then comes the end of the day, what do I fit in? I can do a science lesson or will it get interupted with a fire drill or earthquake drill? WIll I get the student reading homework entered into my grading book. SO throughout the day as I try to teach I also have to deal with unruly students.  This school is so tough that I have seen as young as  2nd grader that is 7-8 year old being taken out of the school in hand cuffs. 

My principal wanted to go the apartments just north of our school to talk to some parents in the home and the district police told her she should wear a bullet proof vest.  This was after the fact that as a faculty we would go every beginning of the new schools year, we would pair up and go into our new students homes to meet them and give them registration packets for the new year.  But now it is so bad we do not dare go over in that area. 

I just wish that politicans, both Democrats and Republicans would go into schools and see what it is like for teachers and students to be in the educational system. Perhaps this whole NO child left behind bull will be thought through a little more and adjustments to be made.  My whole point it, not all childern are going to be the same, every child is unique and if one child is this way does not mean that the child on the west side is the same.  There must be some lee way in things we do and in the way students are taught. And for some Politicans to tell me how to do my job or tell me that if my students are not on grade level by the end of the year that I may lose my job or whatever, some teachers will leave the profession.  What they say now is that most teachers leave the profession after 5 years. SO I guess I am in it for awhile, THis is my 10th year and although I love it, it has become too much government influence and I want to have some say in how I teach and what works best for my students. SO all you Democrats, Republicans, or liberals,or progressives please talk to us teachers before you make any new laws about education, and even more Obama and McCain you two too.  Get imput from us that are in the classroom today and the teachers who are dealing with these things today

The difference between a Democrat and a Republican are simple and I must thank my husband for clearing it up for me since I could not put it so easily.  It is this;  A Democrat would give a fish to a starving man, he would continue to do so but a Republican would teach the man to fish and then the man would be responsible to feed himself and his family.  SO a Republican would give the man the pride to care for his own life.  The man would be responsible for his own well being and if the man had a family, he would provide for that family by taking care of them.  So it is very simple. If someone does not know how they want to vote in this election or is having some difficulty in making up their mind who they want to vote for I would give them this simple little proverb or I don’t know what you would call it.  Democrat’s want people to depend on the government to fix their problems and thus be dependent on the government for their well being.  But to do this taxes need to be raised so the government can actually take care of its citizens.  Republican’s want to take care of themselves and their family.  Small government to take care of some of the major things, however the individual states should have more power over their own problems.  Now this said, the founding fathers really wanted the US Federal government to be small and the state governments have control over their own states.  The founding fathers got away from a socialist government or then I think it would have been a more of a dictatorship, sorry I am not a world history expert.  But the people who left England so they would not be controled any longer. SO why would they come to a new beginning and do everything the same that ENgland had done?  I am not an expert when it comes to politics or how the political system works but I am learning.  SO that is my take on Democrats and Republicans and from what I learned from the best Republican in history; Ronald Reagan I am very proud to call myself a Republican but more so a conservative!!
